When a device has opted out of collecting personal identifiers the following will not be collected:

  • Location Information
  • Phone Number
  • IP Addresses
  • MAC Addresses
  • SIM ICCID


Devices opt out of collecting personal identifiers during the Setup Wizard if the device is enrolled through Zero-touch or via a QR code. This setting cannot be changed without factory resetting the device.


How do I opt out of personal identifiers?


  1. Accept the protected health information terms and conditions under HIPAA and HITECH Act.
    1. Log into the Ensemble Management Portal
    2. Navigate to Settings
    3. Choose "Company" on the right-side of the screen
    4. Click the Settings tab
    5. Click the blue Terms & Conditions Link

                    6. Accept the conditions

       2. Opt out of personal identifiers by default:

                    1. Log into the Ensemble Management Portal

                    2. Navigate to Settings

                    3. Choose "Company" on the right-side of the screen

                    4. Click the Settings tab

                    5. Click the Pencil icon next to "Opt out of collecting personal information by default"

                    6. Check the box

                    7. Click the save icon


How to opt out on individual devices?


To opt out of personal identifiers on a specific device, use QR Code or Zero-touch enrollment.


Opt out during QR Code Enrollment


In order to get to the Opt Out checkbox, move through the first three pages of the QR Code generator, to the Other Settings page.



After getting to that page, click the bottom checkbox to opt out of collecting personal identifiers.

Opt out during Zero-touch Enrollment

You can also opt out of personal identifiers by creating a Zero-Touch configuration and selecting the option to opt out of collecting personal identifiers. To do this:

  1. Navigate to your company device page
  2. Click the Google Zero-Touch tab and log in with the Zero-Touch account associated with your company
  3. Either create a new configuration or edit an existing one
  4. Select the option to "Opt Out of Collecting Personal Identifiers"
  5. Click OK

How do I delete End User Data?



To delete all personal data that's been collected by Ensemble, follow these steps:


  1. Log into the Ensemble Management Portal
  2. Navigate to Settings
  3. Choose "Company" on the right-side of the screen
  4. Click the Settings tab
  5. Click Delete All End User Data


Note: if devices that have not opted out are still checking into the Ensemble server, personal data will be recollected at the next check-in.
