Note: Remember that a default configuration MUST be selected before uploading devices or the profile will not be applied when you go through the setup wizard of the device. If you forgot to do this, you can simply re-upload the devices after selecting a default configuration.
Installing Management with Zero-Touch
Start with a new device out of the box or factory reset a device.
- Log out of all Gmail accounts before factory resetting.
- To factory reset a device, go to the Settings menu.
- Go to the "General" or "General Management" settings.
- Select "Reset" then "Factory data reset".
- Type "factory reset" in the search settings to find it easier.
- factory reset options may be different depending on your Android model and OS.
- Connect to a Wi-Fi network or enter a SIM card with data.
- Note: The device will force a factory reset as soon as you connect to the internet, if you go through the setup wizard without an internet connection.
