A Gmail account is required to:
- Choose apps on the Google Play store for use on your devices.
- Install the Management application over the air to devices using Google Zero-touch
If you plan on using either of these features, it is recommended that you follow the steps below before continuing with the guide.

- Use your new Gmail account to create a Portal User Account, with a role of admin, in order to allow apps through the Play store and allow Zero-touch enrollment. See the "Create and manage users" section for more details.
